Role: Developer – Intermediate
Description of Project/Procedure Context
The services of the contractor (service provider) are provided for the DB Systel - Customer Experience (CX) Unit. As DB Systel, support is provided to DB partners from various business areas of Deutsche Bahn by delivering services that strategically develop digital products.
The focus is on creating holistic solutions for travelers, addressing customer needs, and business requirements. The project involves developing software applications, supporting 3rd-level support, and participating in the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of applications.
Subject Matter of the Contract
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
• Development of software applications that meet client requirements.
• Deployment, monitoring, and technical support in error analysis and troubleshooting.
• Writing clean, efficient, and fully documented code using appropriate software development practices and standards.
• Participation in 3rd-level support during office hours.
• Preparation of decision documents on technical issues.
• Cooperation with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure timely and successful project completion.
• Participation in technical meetings, providing regular updates and presenting on technically complex topics.
• Documentation of technical components and their instructions.
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to other developers.
• Cost estimation and project planning.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
• Java Microservices with Spring Boot:
- At least 4 years of proven experience in developing Java Microservices with Spring Boot using monitoring tools such as Grafana.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):
- At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD tools, e.g., GitLab CI/CD.
• NoSQL Database Systems:
- 3 years of experience in using NoSQL database systems, e.g., Cassandra, Redis.
• Messaging Middleware:
- 4 years of experience in using RabbitMQ and Kafka with the schema registry in Avro format.
• Container Orchestration:
- At least 2 years of experience in container orchestration and application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, Ranger, and Helm.
• Network Protocols:
- 2 years of experience in applying network protocols (SOAP).
• German Language Proficiency:
- Project language is German; business fluency is required, with a native speaker level or a German language certificate at B2 level or better.
Technical Target Requirements:
• Agile Methods: - 3 years of experience in knowledge of agile methods (SCRUM, Kanban, SaFe).
• Problem-Solving/Work Organization:
- At least 3 years of experience in problem-solving, including root cause analysis, solution proposals, and evaluation of solutions.
• Modelling and Process Models:
- 2 years of experience in methodological competence in modeling and process models.
