Senior Accountant
• Financial Accounting Leader the Legal Entities in UK, Belgium, Germany
Job Description:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key player in managing the financial accounting operations for our legal entities across the UK, Belgium, and Germany. Your role involves specialized accounting tasks to maintain the general ledger, along with conducting detailed financial analyses to identify and address variances in our accounts and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Manage Month-End Close deliverables and ARM reconciliations, particularly for the UK site transitioning to ARM on November 1st.
- Prepare and oversee statutory tax and VAT reporting, with a focus on Belgium GAAP.
- Conduct detailed analyses of financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Audit and Compliance
- Facilitate both internal and external audits.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOx compliance and uphold general accounting practices and internal controls.

Operational Support and Transition Management
- Collaborate with GPL & CBS teams in managing accounting activities during new facility setups and system transitions.
- Handle inventory management during ERP system changeovers.
- Assist in the transition to Oracle SaaS.
- Oversee the credit approvals database and customer setup processes.

Local Accounting Support
- Provide direct support to business teams for various accounting queries and processes like AP, GRNI, ARIBA/GSAR, etc.

Process Improvement and Internal Controls
- Regularly review and develop new internal controls as needed.
- Analyze current procedures and recommend improvements to establish best practice accounting procedures.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must possess a certification as a CPA, CMA, Chartered Accountant, or similar.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Flemish is preferred due to interactions with statutory partners.

Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Technical Accounting Assessment and US GAAP.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations (tax, banking, pension, local accounting) and financial reporting.
- Ability to conduct business process and internal control risk analysis.
- Skilled in financial internal controls and financial analysis.

- Demonstrated ability in ensuring accountability, effective communication, managing complexity, developing talent, and directing work.
