About the Project:

Join the PRISMA Re-Design project, a critical part of the PRISMA program—the largest IT initiative at DB InfraGo. The PRISMA program aims to modernize and re-architect existing information systems, with a planned production launch in Q1 2025. This high-visibility project operates under agile and traditional waterfall methodologies within the SAFe framework. Quality management and attention to detail are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, Configuration, and Administration:
  • Install, configure, and manage railway-specific applications and middleware on Linux servers (RHEL), primarily in virtualized environments (vSphere).
  • Customize and monitor managed Linux environments.
• Configuration Management:
  • Manage Linux servers using Ansible, including script creation and adaptation.
• Virtual Environment Management:
  • Create and configure virtual machines using vSphere, including administration of the virtual environment.
• Technical Support:
  • Provide support for technical tests and troubleshooting.
  • Assist users and testers with application-specific questions.
• Documentation:
  • Collaborate with project teams to create and review system documentation.

Mandatory Criteria:

• Linux Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux (shell scripting, file management, processes, resource monitoring, networks).
  • Expert-level experience in deployment, configuration management, and administration of Linux servers, especially using Ansible.
• Industry Experience:
  • At least 24 months of experience in large railway infrastructure projects over the last 5 years.
• Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent German (native or at least C1 level).
• Monitoring and Virtualization:
  • Strong experience with monitoring tools like Icinga2.
  • Proficient in vSphere environment administration.

Target Criteria:

• Agile/Hybrid Project Management:
  • Proven experience with agile/hybrid project management within large railway infrastructure projects in the last 5 years.
• Tools and Technologies:
  • Knowledge of EMS from Tibco and Ansible-Tower/AWX.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development or technical infrastructure projects.
• Additional Language Skills:
  • Good English proficiency (written and spoken).
