Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Test Automation Engineer with a strong focus on non-functional testing and performance engineering. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and execute robust test strategies for cloud-native microservices, driving efficiency and quality improvements for over 6,000 mobility engineers worldwide. Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Execution: Define test strategies and lead the execution of automated tests for cloud-native solutions, aiming to set new industry benchmarks for efficiency and quality.
- Performance & Load Testing: Design and execute performance and load testing strategies for microservices supporting cutting-edge autonomous driving applications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, architects, and operations teams to align testing with performance requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Simulating High-Demand Use Cases: Develop sophisticated test plans, scripts, and tools to simulate heavy traffic, complex transactions, and high-demand scenarios.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze metrics, identify bottlenecks, and make data-driven recommendations to improve system scalability and performance.
- Quality Reporting: Generate quality test results reports for completed test executions and offer insights to senior management on trends impacting quality and performance.
Essential Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science or IT.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a senior test automation role, with at least 3 years dedicated to non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load, disaster recovery).
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in UI and API testing methods and tools; experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, and RestAssured.
- Scripting Skills: Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or JavaScript.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt new technologies and methodologies.
- Agile Experience: Solid understanding of Agile development and project management principles.
- Communication: Fluent in English with strong organizational and presentation skills.
