Java Developer
The team’s name is Stardust within Trading Express ART. The ART is composed of 9 scrum teams. The Stardust team supports core back-office processes and automation for settlement, confirmation, and regulatory reporting.
We currently have eight team members: 2 Java Developers who are also working on the same project, 2 Oracle Developers, 2 Subject Matter Experts from the Back Office, the ScrumMaster, and the Product Owner. Stardust team is a multinational team located 100% in Poland.
Our daily communication is in English, and we regularly collaborate with colleagues from Denmark and Malaysia. The team shares workload together and we encourage members to discuss as a team when one person needs help. Stardust works in the SAFe framework with biweekly sprint cycles. We use Azure DevOps as the backlog.
We practice a hybrid working model with min. 2 days per week from the Warsaw office.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Designing, Developing, and Delivering new products and markets across different CTRM/ETRM systems.
- Working closely with the Front Office, Risk Management, Back Office, and other relevant stakeholders on product design, market enablement, and IT operations.
- Shaping with domain designs and acting as an SME for trade capture and deal life cycle.
- Contributing to operational excellence through incident handling, root cause analysis, and change requests/enhancements implementation.
Must have:
- Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of commodity trading and risk management platforms, specifically Openlink Endur version 18 or above.
- Have experience in technical development/programming using OpenlinkAPI Framework for writing scripts/ plug-ins, Java, PL/SQL, and/or Endur-specific OpenJVS, GIT, and able to execute full Software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Have experience working in the energy trading sector, especially in the front office, back office, and middle office/ risk solutions.
- Have good understanding of different energy products and their trade lifecycle design and utilizing instruments in ENDUR (financial, physical, or storage product modeling).
- Have strong backend investigation skills and have the ability to support post-deployment elements/hypercare.
- Participating in 24x7 on-call support roster rotation.
Nice to have:
- Are curious, passionate about problem-solving, and appreciate working inan agile, transparent, and trust-based working culture.
- Some knowledge in Cloud and Microservices implementation and ETRMsystems re-implementation would be nice to have but not a must.
- Are acquainted with Agile (preferably SAFe framework) in a diverse, international team.
