Windows Platform Engineer

We seek skilled and proactive engineers to join our client's Windows Platform Team. This team is responsible for delivering robust Windows Operating Systems across various versions, including Windows Servers and Client OS, and managing Active Directory services for a mission-critical system.
As a Windows Platform Engineer, you will be deeply involved in the entire software development lifecycle, contributing to the development and maintenance of Windows Platform Solutions. Your work will include automating system and application installations and configurations, managing system updates, performing security scans, and resolving identified issues.
The primary development language for new functionalities is PowerShell, with some legacy batch and other scripts. The project follows Agile methodologies, ensuring a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Windows Platform Solutions including automated installation, configuration, system updates, and security management
- Collaborate within Agile teams to design, test, and deploy new functionalities
- Automate tasks using PowerShell, with opportunities to enhance legacy scripts
- Perform system administration tasks on Windows Servers and Client OS
- Maintain and configure Microsoft Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Services, and DNS
- Support network services including IIS, SSL/TLS encryption, and certificates management
- Execute non-interactive, automatic deployment of Windows Operating Systems on physical and virtual environments
- Contribute to technical documentation and process improvements
Basic Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows-family OSes, especially Windows Server 2016-2022
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, AD Lightweight Directory Services, and Microsoft DNS
- Familiarity with IIS, SSL/TLS encryption, certificates, and Network Policy Server
- Experience in automated deployment of Windows Operating Systems
- Familiarity with DISA STIG standards
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Automation, Robotics, or related fields
- Proficiency in English for clear and effective communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience with Ansible
- Jenkins administration/DevOps experience, including plugin management and pipeline configuration
- Knowledge of networking protocols and network services such as TCP/IP, SNMP, and firewall management
- Basic Linux knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing tasks
