We are looking for a Technical Leader to join the team of one of our clients for a large-scale data center migration program. The role involves leading the migration of multiple business-critical applications—both proprietary and vendor-based—that support card acceptance, acquiring, and issuer processing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document the current (“as-is”) architecture of applications
- Define migration goals and facilitate transformation decisions (e.g., infrastructure or component upgrades, containerization, active-active models)
- Design and document the target (“to-be”) deployment architecture
- Create detailed migration plans for individual applications and application groups
- Coordinate application refactoring, dependency updates, and architecture adjustments when needed
- Specify and oversee the setup of new DEV / QA / UAT / PROD / DR environments in the target data center
- Identify firewall, load balancing, middleware, and database requirements and raise corresponding requests
- Guide testing of new deployments and migration scenarios, including PEN testing
- Support external and internal certification processes
- Lead production migration efforts while minimizing risk and avoiding “big bang” transitions
- Oversee the decommissioning of legacy environments after successful migration
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation in Confluence (architecture diagrams, WBS, implementation plans)
- Collaborate closely with project managers to support task planning, execution, and issue resolution
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical leadership roles in migration or large deployment projects
- Strong understanding of complex application landscapes, including online systems and high-volume batch processing
- Familiarity with integration services, scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M), data/file replication, and shared network resources
- Ability to produce high-quality architecture documentation and work effectively with architects and competence centers
- Solid understanding of availability, performance, and resilience for transaction-heavy environments
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD – a strong advantage
- Ability to work across multicultural teams, excellent communication skills in both English and Polish
- Capability to absorb technical knowledge by working closely with SMEs and development teams
- Self-driven, responsible, and results-oriented professional with the ability to take initiative and lead across different teams
If you're looking for a technically challenging leadership role where you can make a real impact on critical infrastructure and services, this is a great opportunity. You'll work in a dynamic, international environment on a high-priority initiative that affects essential business systems. Apply now!
