We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Sustainable Finance Specialist to join our client’s global team and support integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data into financial strategy, reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of how sustainability performance connects with financial disclosures and investor expectations.
You will be responsible for developing audit-ready data processes, contributing to key ESG reporting deliverables, and working cross-functionally to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant information across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and manage data processes that support high-quality ESG disclosures aligned with sustainable finance regulations (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, ISSB).
- Strengthen internal controls to ensure the auditability and reliability of non-financial data used in investor and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to gather and validate ESG-related data.
- Support external assurance processes and coordinate with auditors on ESG-related topics.
- Track regulatory developments in sustainable finance and advise on reporting strategies and risk implications.
- Prepare reporting deliverables such as the annual Responsibility Report, CDP, MSCI, ISS, and Sustainalytics submissions.
- Conduct internal reviews of ESG data and reporting processes to ensure alignment with financial frameworks.
- Train key stakeholders on reporting requirements, internal controls, and the financial relevance of ESG metrics.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience (mid/senior level) in sustainable finance, ESG reporting, or non-financial data management within a corporate or regulated environment.
- Deep knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards (e.g., TCFD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB).
- Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset with an understanding of financial and non-financial data integration.
- Experience with external auditors or sustainability assurance providers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across global functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ESG or finance data platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with GHG reporting methodologies and their financial implications is a strong advantage.
