Strategic Partnerships Associate
Strategic Partnerships Associate – DACH & CEE (Based in Berlin)
Are you ready to shape the future of travel and tourism while making a real impact on local communities?
Join a global travel and hospitality leader that connects millions of people to unique stays and experiences worldwide. With a mission to help everyone feel they can belong anywhere, this company drives economic growth, fosters sustainable tourism, and supports communities across the globe.
We are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Associate to support strategic initiatives and stakeholder engagement across the DACH region (with a strong focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). In this role, you will help shape policy, build meaningful partnerships, and strengthen the company’s position as a trusted partner to governments, tourism boards, and local communities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong project management and event planning expertise, experience in public policy or advocacy, and a passion for building collaborations that create lasting positive change in the travel industry.
Your Impact
As a Strategic Partnerships Associate, you will:
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private stakeholders in tourism, sustainability, innovation, and economic development across DACH and CEE.
Represent the company externally, engaging with government officials, tourism bodies, and other partners to communicate values and advance shared initiatives.
Coordinate agencies and vendors, such as designers, photographers, and event specialists, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and brand standards.
Lead event planning and execution, from small stakeholder workshops to large-scale conferences like ITB Berlin:
Prepare invitations, briefing documents, talking points, and social media content.
Collaborate with creative teams to deliver on-brand materials.
Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and communications with attendees.
Oversee logistics and provide on-the-ground event support.
Ensure timely follow-up and reporting post-event.
Work closely with Communications, Public Policy, and Legal teams to deliver coordinated, impactful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Travel regularly across Central and Eastern Europe, with occasional trips elsewhere in Europe and to the company’s global headquarters in San Francisco.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in project or event management, stakeholder engagement, or partnership development — ideally within tourism, technology, urban development, or public policy.
Proven ability to manage partnerships and external collaborations with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working on cross-functional projects, collaborating across teams and geographies.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience drafting professional documents and public-facing content.
A proactive, independent mindset with the ability to take initiative and deliver results amid ambiguity.
Fluent German (native level required) and fluent English. Knowledge of another CEE language is a strong advantage.
Location
This role is based in Berlin, Germany, with periodic travel to meet partners and stakeholders.
Regular presence in the Berlin office will be required for team collaboration and meetings.
