⚙️ About the Role
As a Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps), you’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of production systems running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You’ll work closely with a cross-functional product team (front-end, back-end, and data engineers) to monitor, optimize, and automate infrastructure. Your main focus will be proactive monitoring, observability, and reliability — helping to keep mission-critical applications running smoothly 24/7.
🔧 Your Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain production systems in GCP, ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability.
Implement and manage monitoring and error-tracking tools, primarily Sentry and PostHog.
Collaborate with developers to optimize backend systems built with Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and Postgres.
Work alongside front-end engineers using TypeScript, React, and Vite to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Support automation, deployment pipelines, and environment configuration.
Investigate and resolve incidents, ensuring rapid recovery and prevention of future issues.
Contribute to infrastructure improvements and observability best practices.
🧩 Requirements
Experience working as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar infrastructure-focused role.
Strong understanding of GCP (deployment, monitoring, and maintenance).
Hands-on experience with Sentry and/or PostHog for monitoring and analytics.
Solid knowledge of Python backend development environments (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Postgres).
Comfortable collaborating with front-end teams using TypeScript and React.
English at a B2/C1 level – you’ll work in an international team.
Ability to work partially overlapping with the California time zone.
🌱 Nice to Have
Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar.
Familiarity with modern DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
Passion for automation, clean code, and continuous improvement.
