Supplier Quality Engineer (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our client’s team, a leading global technology company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing hardware quality during the integration phase, with a particular focus on identifying and resolving quality issues related to third-party supplier hardware and internally delivered hardware. You will act as the key point of contact between the client’s team and suppliers, ensuring timely action is taken on reported issues and driving corrective actions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment and contribute to delivering high-quality products.
Location: Valluhn Site
Work Schedule: 20 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for hardware quality issues during integration.
Identify, report, and resolve hardware quality issues related to third-party suppliers as well as internally delivered hardware.
Coordinate and ensure corrective actions are taken with suppliers to address quality issues.
Oversee the return and exchange process for defective hardware.
Prepare and present regular status reports on hardware quality, corrective actions, and project progress.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to implement improvements in hardware quality.
Assist in testing and validating hardware components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Ensure that hardware meets internal quality standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
Maintain up-to-date records of quality issues, corrective actions, and resolution timelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in hardware quality management.
Previous experience in hardware quality management, supplier coordination, or a similar role within a manufacturing or technology environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing relationships with suppliers and working with cross-functional teams.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing hardware quality issues.
Familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, root cause analysis) is an advantage.
Experience conducting audits or inspections of hardware components is a plus.Proficiency in both German and English (spoken and written) is required.
Knowledge of hardware testing processes, components, and quality standards is an advantage.
