Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing EMEA Finance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly and yearly close processes, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and corporate policies across multiple EMEA countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, record, and review monthly accounting transactions
Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closing activities
Issue and record customer invoices
Prepare and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, incl. Blackline
Prepare and post journal entries in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / NetSuite preferred)
Manage intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies
Coordinate proper filing and maintenance of accounting documentation
Support internal and external audits, incl. SOX documentation
Collaborate with local country finance teams across the region
Support implementation of internal controls and process improvements
Ensure strict adherence to close deadlines
Process payroll journal entries and reconciliations
Review and process business travel and expense claims (T&E)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum 5 years accounting experience, ideally in SSC or multinational environment
Knowledge of at least one local GAAP (e.g., UK, German, Polish)
ERP experience required; Oracle/NetSuite/SAP strongly preferred
Blackline and/or PeopleSoft experience is a plus
Strong MS Office skills
Experience in payroll accounting and travel expenses processing is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Ability to work effectively with cross-border teams
English fluency required
