We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect on behalf of our client to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise AWS ecosystem. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to drive automation across our Snowflake and AWS environments. This is a three month contract with a high possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design: Lead the design of multi-account AWS Organization structures, ensuring robust networking via Transit Gateway and centralized VPC endpoint architectures.

• Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain advanced Terraform modules to automate the deployment of backend and frontend services.

• Security & Compliance: Implement IAM best practices, service mesh architectures, and egress controls (including Squid proxy management) to ensure a "Security by Design" posture.

• Performance Optimization: Oversee high availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, and continuous cost optimization across all environments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with DevOps teams to manage automated pipelines and cross-account DNS resolution for production and non-production environments.

Technical Qualifications:

• Expert AWS Knowledge: Proven experience with core AWS services (IAM, Networking, Organizations) and integration with Snowflake.

• Advanced Terraform Mastery:

• Experience with multi-provider configurations and cross-account role assumptions.

• Ability to build dynamic module compositions with conditional resource creation.

• Expertise in resource dependency management and configuration state management.

• Networking Expertise: Deep understanding of centralized networking, shared services, and service mesh patterns.

Operational Excellence: 

Demonstrated track record in scaling cloud infrastructures while maintaining strict cost and security controls.
