We are seeking a Search Platform Administrator to join a team that delivers solutions to a large, mature enterprise organization. The role focuses on designing, operating, and optimizing a scalable search platform that is a critical part of high-availability, data-intensive systems. Manage indices, mappings, analyzers, index/component templates, and ILM policies.
Integrate the search platform with backend applications (e.g. Spring Data Elasticsearch).
Optimize cluster performance (shards/replicas, refresh interval, heap, GC, thread pools).
Monitor and troubleshoot cluster health, logs, metrics, and alerts; resolve yellow/red states and shard allocation issues.
Implement search use cases such as full-text search, pagination, sorting, and boosting.
Design and configure cluster architecture (nodes, shards, replicas).
Create and maintain queries (DSL), CRUD operations, aggregations, filtering, and sorting.
Configure analyzers, tokenizers, and ingest pipelines, including Polish language analysis.
Manage security (users, roles, index permissions, DLS/FLS, TLS/mTLS, certificate rotation).
Plan and execute backups and restores (snapshots), including repository configuration (FS / S3).
Perform upgrades and rolling upgrades while ensuring high availability.
Work with the Elastic Stack ecosystem (Logstash, Beats, Kibana).
Requirements:
Hands-on experience administering Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch clusters.
Strong understanding of search engine architecture and internals.
Experience with performance tuning and production troubleshooting.
Solid knowledge of DSL queries and full-text search concepts.
Experience with security configuration (TLS, roles, permissions).
Ability to work with large-scale, highly available systems.
Communicative level of English (spoken and written).
Nice to have:
Experience in enterprise-scale projects.
Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Collaboration with backend teams (Java / Spring-based systems).
What we offer:
Fully remote work.
Participation in a stable, long-term enterprise project.
Opportunity for long-term cooperation and involvement in further platform development.
Real impact on the architecture and quality of a critical search platform.
