Field Test Engineer II (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Field Test Engineer II to join our client’s team. The role involves working as part of multidisciplinary project teams to design and deliver complex, mission-critical voice and data systems. These systems may be used directly by the customer or to support the delivery of managed services. The Field Engineer will primarily be involved in post-sales project phases, may support multiple projects depending on size and complexity, and may also contribute to pre-sales and service-related activities.
Location: Berlin
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
Key responsibilities:
Manage and/or perform implementation of communication system solutions and services which satisfy the requirements of the customer, end user and operator.
Co-lead/Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), coordinating the technical aspects of the acceptance testing.
Responsible for the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of MSI and third-party solutions (with support from supplier/vendor).
Responsible for identifying, investigating and troubleshooting of technical issues during project implementation.
Responsible for on-site Acceptance Tests, while coordinating the technical aspects of the acceptance testing.
Update of technical documentation and technical change management.
Communications - Project status updates and reporting.
Responsible for self development through an agreed training plan,experience and knowledge transfer.
Interface, communicate, and coordinate the customer, partner, sub-contractor on project deployment and best practices where required.
Ensure the project is delivered to the Motorola Solutions Quality, Health and Safety standards.
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of professional engineering experience in Telecommunication System, IP Transport Network, IT, Field, Service, Technical Support or those equivalent.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher certification.
Good knowledge in Operating System and Application (Unix, Window, Virtualization Technology etc.).
Good knowledge in Radio Frequency (Base Station TX/RX test, Mobile /Portable Radio, RF test equipment).
Manual skills for field work like wiring, soldering, physical installation of equipment in addition to commissioning and testing tasks.
Valid Driving license.
Availability and willingness to travel (80%), inside and outside residence country.
Willingness to obtain relevant Security Clearance to enter customer site.
Fluent in English and German.
A University degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
