Project Manager (Procurement Technologies)
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Contractor) to lead complex IT and digital transformation initiatives within the Commercial / Procurement Digital Technologies domain.
This role requires a delivery-focused leader capable of managing enterprise-scale initiatives within a structured governance framework (hybrid PMP / PRINCE2-based operating model), ensuring compliance, stakeholder alignment, and successful execution.
Location: Poland (Candidates must currently reside in Poland)
Scope of Responsibility
Lead one or more projects within procurement-focused digital transformation programs.
Manage end-to-end delivery of procurement technology initiatives.
Coordinate across architecture, development, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
Oversee resource planning, financial tracking, risks, and issue management.
Lead governance processes, executive reporting, and steering committee engagement.
Drive business process transformation, testing cycles, cutover, and hypercare.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
Develop and maintain detailed project plans with milestones, dependencies, and resource assignments.
Execute projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies aligned to the client’s IT operating model.
Ensure procurement business requirements are translated into scalable technology solutions.
Balance scope, budget, timeline, and risk to achieve delivery commitments.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to IT General Controls (ITGC), change management, access controls, and audit requirements.
Maintain core governance artifacts (RAID logs, financial trackers, compliance matrices).
Partner with audit, risk, and compliance teams to support reviews and internal controls.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Lead full testing lifecycle: strategy definition, planning, execution, defect management, and reporting.
Ensure traceability between procurement business requirements and test cases.
Manage UAT and business validation processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to executive sponsors and steering committees.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners and procurement stakeholders.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party system integrators where applicable.
Delivery & Transition
Lead cutover planning, environment readiness, and deployment activities.
Support transition to operations and post-go-live stabilization (hypercare).
Enable adoption through structured training and change management.
Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of IT project management experience (enterprise scale preferred).
Proven experience delivering procurement technology solutions or managing procurement transformation programs (required).
Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
Experience implementing or managing platforms such as eSourcing, CLM, supplier lifecycle management, or procurement ERP modules.
Solid knowledge of ITGC frameworks (SOX, NIST, COBIT) and compliance controls.
Experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or equivalent).
Demonstrated ability to manage global, cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
Fluency in English preferred.
