The main task in this position is:
Perform role of Linux engineer for application migration project, part of data center migration program. Applications serve payment card acceptance / acquiring and issuer processors’ business processes.
Critical business functions, including transaction authorization processes, are embedded on the Linux operating system platform. The Linux OS layer is both an environment for closed application systems and application functions called at its level
The following technical qualifications are required to carry out Linux project tasks:
Administration, configuration, and maintenance
Linux server environment (RedHat, Oracle Linux)
application servers JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, OHS, WildFly, Springboot
Automation tools: Rundeck, Ansible
Proper development of server infrastructure to ensure its highest availability, quality, performance, and security for users and customers
Linux systems performance analytics, monitoring, diagnostics, and incident resolution.
Possess technical knowledge and experience in:
advanced Linux system administration
Cryptography issues (PKI, PGP);
IP network management issues
Working knowledge of scripting skills in Bash or Python
Ability to quickly assimilate comprehensive infrastructure knowledge
Ability to think analytically and solve problems quickly
Current RHCE certifications will be an added advantage
You will be expected to:
· Closely work with the FTS Application & Middleware Team, carrying out BAU tasks.
· Closely work with PMs driving the subsequent actions, building, testing, and migrating to new environments, not excluding preparation and placement of infrastructure build, configuration, or access request, and addressing blockers on the road
· Diagnosing and solving technical problems
· Monitoring environments for performance and reliability,
· Produce quality live documentation (using Confluence),
Individuals performing the services are expected to have the following characteristics:
· Recognizing the challenges related to application migration from one data center to another
· Experience working in similar roles/projects (application migrations)
· Excellent communication skills, good written and spoken Polish and English language, and ability to work with a variety of SMEs from several countries and socialize the technical scope, challenges, and solutions among them
· Understanding of availability, performance, monitoring, and resilience aspects for semi-real-time online transaction systems and mass transaction processing systems
· Understanding of infrastructure aspects, network solutions, load balancing, TLS
· Responsibility: care for product quality, making and keeping commitments
· Cooperation: the ability to share knowledge and experience, find compromises, build correct relationships within the local organization and in the corporation.
