AppOps (application administrator) for DC migration project - job description
The main task in this position is:
Perform the role of AppOps for the application migration project, part of the data center migration program. Applications serve payment card acceptance / acquiring and issuer processors’ business processes.
Critical business functions, including transaction authorization processes, are implemented by application systems developed locally and provided by external vendors.
The following technical qualifications are required to carry out AppOps project tasks:
Administration, configuration, and maintenance
Payment card issuing system applications
Acquire transaction system applications
monitoring the correct operation of the application environment in the context of maintaining the application environment
system support for maintaining the continuity of operation of application servers by solving incidents and problems related to the operation of these environments,
verification and implementation of changes delivered to production systems,
participation in project work carried out within local and international organizations
cooperation with external technical support and with technical groups within an international corporation
You will be expected to:
efficient use of PL/SQL / T-SQL
efficient use of Perl / Powershell / Shell / Bash / Python
Closely work with the FTS Application & Middleware Team, carrying out BAU tasks.
· Closely work with PMs driving the subsequent actions, building, testing, and migrating to new environments, not excluding preparation and placement of infrastructure build, configuration, or access request, and addressing blockers on the road
· Diagnosing and solving technical problems
· Monitoring environments for performance and reliability,
· Produce quality live documentation (using Confluence),
Individuals performing the services are expected to have the following characteristics:
· Recognizing the challenges related to application migration from one data center to another
· Experience working in similar roles/projects (application migrations)
· Excellent communication skills, good written and spoken Polish and English language, and ability to work with a variety of SMEs from several countries and socialize the technical scope, challenges and solutions among them
· Understanding of availability, performance, monitoring, and resilience aspects for semi-real-time online transaction systems and mass transaction processing systems
· Understanding of infrastructure aspects, network solutions, load balancing, TLS
· Responsibility: care for product quality, making and keeping commitments
· Cooperation: the ability to share knowledge and experience, find compromises, build correct relationships within the local organization and in the corporation.
