Sales Manager (m/f/d) – AWP / MEWP | Netherlands
A globally active manufacturer in the construction machinery and access technology sector is expanding its European footprint and strengthening its position in the aerial work platforms (AWP / MEWP) segment. As part of this growth phase, the company is further developing its commercial structure across key European markets, with a particular focus on the Benelux region and the Netherlands.
The company is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to take ownership of the Dutch market, with a strong focus on the Amsterdam region, driving business development, customer acquisition, and key account growth within the AWP / MEWP segment.
Location: Amsterdam region, Netherlands (home office + extensive field-based travel across the country and Benelux region)
Contract type: Permanent | 40 hours per week | Hybrid field sales role
Start Date: As soon as possible
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and expand the Dutch market for AWP / MEWP solutions.
Actively acquire new customers across the Netherlands and Benelux region.
Build and manage strategic key accounts within your territory.
Work closely with customers across the following sectors:
Equipment rental companies.
Construction companies.
Industrial and infrastructure clients.
Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships in the Dutch market.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and contract agreements.
Collaborate closely with service, technical, and after-sales teams.
Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and customer engagements across the Benelux region.
Conduct regular field visits and maintain strong local market presence.
Your Profile (Must-have):
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical B2B field sales.
Proven track record in Key Account Management.
Experience in AWP / MEWP or comparable access equipment / construction machinery.
Experience working in an OEM (manufacturer) environment.
Proven sales responsibility (≥ €1M annual revenue).
Strong existing network within the Dutch rental and construction industry.
Excellent English communication skills (business fluent).
Dutch language skills are a strong advantage (B2/C1 preferred depending on responsibility level).
Independent, structured, and results-driven working style.
High willingness to travel within the Netherlands and Benelux region.

Experience with international manufacturers in the construction machinery sector.
Strong technical understanding of lifting and access equipment.
Experience in fast-growing or newly established market organizations.
Knowledge of the Benelux rental equipment market dynamics.
