Senior Resource Manager (m/f/d)
Our client is a leading global technology company seeking an experienced Senior Resource Manager to join its Professional Services organization. In this strategic role, you will lead resource planning, workforce optimization, and staffing across consulting engagements while partnering with Delivery, Sales, Finance, and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence and business success.
Location: Germany (Hybrid; preferred locations: Munich, Berlin, or Hamburg)
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Management
Manage end-to-end resource planning and staffing activities across Professional Services engagements.
Optimize resource allocation based on skills, availability, project requirements, utilization targets, and business priorities.
Own the end-to-end resource request process, including assignment confirmations, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
Partner with Delivery Managers and Practice Leaders to understand consultants' capabilities, industry expertise, and development goals.
Proactively identify staffing risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Maintain accurate resource schedules and assignments within Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools.
Monitor and report on resource demand, capacity, utilization, and workforce forecasts.
Analyze key resource metrics to identify trends, capacity gaps, and future hiring needs.
Facilitate regular staffing and resource planning meetings with delivery leadership.
Support deal reviews and pre-sales activities by providing resource planning insights.
Partner & Contingent Workforce Management
Manage the end-to-end sourcing, engagement, and onboarding of contingent workers and external partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic staffing partners and suppliers.
Review and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and partner agreements where required.
Coordinate purchase requisitions and approvals to ensure timely project onboarding.
Monitor partner-related costs, forecasts, and budget performance.
Stay informed about market capabilities and supplier offerings to support strategic workforce planning.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement processes and partner engagement policies.
Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate documentation, consultant skills profiles, and resource records.
Collaborate with Delivery teams to forecast future resource demand and identify training opportunities.
Drive continuous process improvements and promote best practices across resource management operations.
Ensure high-quality reporting, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
6+ years of experience in Resource Management within a Professional Services, Consulting, or Technology organization.
Strong understanding of consulting operations, workforce planning, and project staffing.
Experience managing project financials, utilization, forecasting, and capacity planning.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required. German language skills are highly desirable, and additional languages are considered an advantage.
Technical Skills & Tools
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with CRM and Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools such as Salesforce, Certinia, Workfront, Mavenlink, or similar enterprise solutions.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
