HR Generalist (m/w/d)
Our client is seeking a customer-focused and proactive HR Generalist to join their HR Shared Services team supporting employees across the EMEA region. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience while working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and international environment.
As part of the Employee Resource Center, you will be the first point of contact for employee and manager queries throughout the employee lifecycle, providing high-quality HR support, guidance, and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers across EMEA, responding to HR-related queries throughout the employee lifecycle.
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, programs, and systems, including platforms such as Workday and ServiceNow.
Manage, track, and resolve employee cases within agreed service levels, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Support employees and managers in effectively using self-service HR tools and resources.
Assist with voluntary employee separations, providing guidance to managers and ensuring all required processes are completed accurately.
Handle Tier 1 HR enquiries relating to compensation, benefits, HR data management, and general HR policies.
Support local and regional HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple countries.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and proactively resolve employee concerns before they escalate.
Escalate complex cases appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgement.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating a positive employee experience.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in HR Shared Services, Employee Services, HR Operations, or a similar customer-facing HR support role.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate employee needs and identify root causes of issues.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with experience supporting projects and cross-functional initiatives.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within virtual and international teams.
A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Experience working with HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Previous experience within an HR Shared Services environment is highly desirable.
Language Requirements
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Fluent German (written and spoken)
Additional European languages would be considered an advantage.
