About the Role
We are on the lookout for an Automotive Test Engineer to play a vital role in our client dynamic project team, focusing on the testing and simulation of automotive lighting systems, including bulb sets and light switches. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, dedication, and innovation to build test systems, analyze projects, and develop as well as execute tests under the guidance of a team leader.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain test systems for validating the functionality of automotive lighting simulations.
- Engage in project analysis to pinpoint testing requirements; prepare exhaustive documentation and test scenarios with team leader oversight.
- Develop, conduct, and oversee tests, reporting outcomes and any discrepancies as per the team leader's directives.
- Participate actively in project meetings, offering constructive feedback and suggestions.
- Execute tasks efficiently in line with the project timeline and supervisor's expectations, ensuring adherence to our stringent quality standards.
- Safeguard confidential information and company assets diligently.
- Independently conduct software testing on automotive products, maintaining alignment with the organization's quality system.
Work Model and Recruitment Process:
- Hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in the office for 2-3 days weekly.
- The recruitment process involves a comprehensive 2-hour call to assess fit and qualifications.
Requirements:
- A MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- Strong foundational knowledge in electronics, electronic measurement, and the use of measurement tools.
- Competency in software programming, particularly in C / C++, and a basic understanding of computer programming/scripting languages.
- Fluency in English, with effective communication skills.
- A team player who values honesty in all professional dealings.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with automotive industry data interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and Vector tools (e.g., CAPL in CANoe) is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to meet project needs.
- Knowledge of scripting programming languages.
