Security Software Engineer
About the Role
Our client, a global leader in the cybersecurity industry, is looking for a Security Software Engineer to join an engineering team responsible for building an advanced threat-hunting platform used by security operations teams worldwide.
The platform serves as an AI-powered "Single Pane of Glass", enabling analysts and threat hunters to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats at scale. This role combines software engineering, cybersecurity expertise, and modern AI technologies to transform complex security workflows into scalable, production-ready solutions.
Your Responsibilities
Build and Enhance the Platform
Design, develop, and deliver new features using modern technologies such as Python, React, and Next.js.
Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a large-scale security platform.
Partner with Security Experts
Collaborate closely with threat hunters, incident responders, and security researchers.
Translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Drive AI-Powered Innovation
Develop and implement AI-driven workflows leveraging LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based systems.
Automate threat analysis, investigation processes, and reporting capabilities.
Ensure Quality and Reliability
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure components.
Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, followed by a transition into software engineering.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Threat Hunting
Threat Intelligence
Security Research
Incident Response
Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Proven ability to build scalable, production-grade applications.
Strong ownership mindset and ability to collaborate effectively within distributed international teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly React and/or Next.js.
Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, including GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience working with Cortex XDR and/or Cortex XSOAR.
Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and LLM platforms such as Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies.
